Kona coffee can be broken down into a few main baskets. There is 100% pure Kona coffee made from only kona coffee producers of the highest standing. There is also Kona blend coffee which is typically a blend of Hawaiian coffee mixed with a small amount of pur Kona coffee. In some cases 100% Kona coffee is blended with coffees from other parts of the world to make a coffee which has only hints of Kona. For novice coffee drinkers the labeling can be deciptive but for the sophisticated pallate the taste makes these differences somewhat obvious.
